PermaCrete

A durable permeable concrete surface formed with specialised binders and fine aggregates, designed to reduce flooding and suit projects from homes to large commercial sites.

PermaCrete Overview

Permeable concrete—also referred to as pervious or porous concrete—is designed to allow water to infiltrate through the surface, supporting effective on-site stormwater management and reducing runoff.

In addition to its drainage benefits, permeable concrete helps mitigate the urban heat island (UHI) effect, where built-up areas experience higher temperatures than surrounding rural environments due to human activity and dense infrastructure.

PermaCrete Key Features

Reduces Stormwater Runoff

Allows water to drain through the surface, reducing pooling and runoff.

Improves Drainage

Helps manage heavy rain by directing water into the ground below.

Durable and Hard-Wearing

Built for high-traffic residential and commercial spaces.

Slip-Resistant

Provides improved traction in wet conditions.

Lower Maintenance Drainage Solution

Minimises the need for surface drains and grates.

Environmentally Friendly

Supports natural water filtration and groundwater recharge.

Ideal for High-Traffic Outdoor Areas

Suitable for driveways, pathways, courtyards, and public spaces.

Clean, Modern Finish Options

Available in a range of colours and aggregate looks.

PermaCrete Application Process

PermaCrete is installed using a carefully controlled process to ensure strength and effective drainage performance.
  • Site is assessed for drainage, fall, and intended load requirements.
  • Existing surfaces are removed (where required) and the subgrade is prepared.
  • A permeable, open-graded base is installed and compacted to specification.
  • PermaCrete is poured, levelled, and finished to the required thickness.
  • Surface is cured correctly to achieve strength and durability.
  • Final inspection is completed to ensure drainage performance and finish quality.
